Sudanese supporters win MHFC competition

HFCA co-ordinate the Fair Play event twice a year. At Fair Play 7 we were very fortunate to have new A League club Melbourne Heart FC as one of our sponsors. We had planned a junior competition in partnership with Melbourne Heart FC at Fair Play 7 but this was cancelled due to the terrible weather. Fortunately Melbourne Heart FC very generously allowed us to select two kids for the winning prize for the junior competition.

it was great experience for them to be the official mascots at the game

Achol Lueth aged 14 and her brother Arop Lueth aged 13 attended the Melbourne Heart game against the A League champions Sydney United and it was great experience for them to be the official mascots at the game. Achol and Arop are from Sudan and live in the Fitzroy public housing estate. Thanks to Victorian Police officer Chris McGeachan for taking them to the game and Melbourne Heart FC for giving Achol and Arop this opportunity.

Fair Play 8 is on Saturday the 12th of March. All the details to come in our Jan newsletter...
