Rithy is the second oldest of the five children and the main provider for his family as their father died in a construction accident in 2011. Their mother was badly hurt in a recent moto accident. Its a huge amount of pressure for a young man but he takes it in his stride and always has a smile on his face. Rithy now works part time at HFCA coaching our under 16 boys team.

Dara takes on Irish player in Mexico City in 2012

Rithy was amazing in Milan and showing football talent runs in the family his brother Dara booked his place in the squad for the Cambodian team for the 2012 Homeless World Cup in Mexico City. Dara is five feet tall but has the heart of a lion and threw himself into the battle against far bigger opponents in the heat of Mexico City. Our outstanding player that year he became the leader on the pitch and was epic in our game against USA that year. Dara now works part time at HFCA passing on his experience of playing for his country to the under 14 boys.

No one made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.
