News Cambodian players embrace The Homeless World Cup 2019

HFCA are incredibly proud of the eight players who travelled to Cardiff, Wales for the 17th Homeless World Cup tournament.

They did a fantastic job in representing their country and really enjoyed the amazing experience!

In a tough first group with holders (and eventual champions) Mexico and hosts Wales, the team did well to beat Australia and Denmark.

In the second stage good wins against Finland and Belgium, and a narrow last minute loss to Holland meant the team were playing for the Llewellyn Cup. Progressing to the semi-finals, a heart breaking loss on penalties to Sweden after an epic 6-6 draw, meant there would be no trophy this year. FInishing above teams such as the Czech Republic, Belgium, Australia, Finland and Greece... a very respectable 36th place finish out of the 48 teams. Well done Team Cambodia!
