News Everyone at Manchester United are proud of you!!

In our February newsletter we reported that HFCA player Sam Yi who took part in the 2008 Homeless World Cup in Melbourne had turned professional with a team in the Cambodian Premier League.

Well, for us this is huge news but what makes it even better is that you guys out there have recognised just how great this is and let us know how happy you are about it!

The praise that we have received has included an email directly from Louis Garvey, Community Football Coach at Manchester United Football Club. Louis met the Cambodian team at the 2010 Homeless World Cup in Rio de Janeiro and took them for a personal training session!

No doubt this is down to his natural ability and hard work, but in no small way the time and effort put into all of your players is a credit to you all. Please pass on my congratulations to Sam Yi and all of the other players. Everyone at Manchester United are proud of you.

These are the stories I love to hear, of how the guys have benefitted from getting involved in football and it is testament to the great work you are doing with the guys so give you and your staff a big pat on the back from me.
