Up to 28 young men, all former HFCA Academy graduates and Homeless World Cup players made appearances in this top quality professional football environment.
The 2017/2018 KMH Champions League season was played from October last year with the final of the 32 team competition taking place in July. All the games were played at the KHM Stadium which is one of the best football stadiums in Cambodia.
Our players knew at the start of the season it was going to be challenge playing against clubs who have been established for many seasons with some of them using professional footballers. Several teams had former and current Cambodian internationals in their team but as HFCA player Mut Sakpick said "The teams in the Champions League were top class. They were faster, more skillful and stronger than us but I learn so much from every game in this league. I now know what I need to do make my dream of becoming a professional footballer become true. I need to work harder"
HFCA finish 8th after our 14 games. Our 7 points from two wins and a draw meant our overall ranking in the 32 team competition was 26th!
