News HFCA employment success story - Sam Yi secures full time job with Raintree

HFCA work with our program participants through the game of football and this helps rebuild their self belief and teach them valuable life skills.

Football is just a tool we use to assist them to take the next step to be truly independent and self sufficient as they become young adults.

We are currently working with several companies to link suitable candidates from our program to gainful employment and we are delighted that Sam Yi who joined the HFCA program in 2006 has started work at Raintree Development. We wish him all the best in his new career and thanks to Raintree Development for giving him this opportunity.

Upon starting he was not familiar with the building process and operations, as it's quite different to his soccer skills! But as he carries out his daily tasks he has learned a lot in his role as Building Attendant and improving every day. As a team we are dedicated to helping him develop more, so he can be even more confident with his job. Sam Yi, has a lot of potential to grow in our company and we are excited to explore those opportunities with him.
