News HFCA junior girls team finish their season in AIA ISF U18 League

The AIA ISF league for girls aged 18 and under ran from late January to mid May and HFCA competed against 8 other teams.

Currently the U15 and U18 girls national club competitions are managed by the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) which is under the auspices of the Asian Football Confederation and FIFA. Unfortunately due to the FFC's very busy schedule no games in either category have been organised for over two years. Huge credit has to go to AIA ISF leagues for running this 9 team competition for U18 girls.

HFCA's squad of 15 girls were very young with an average age of 14 as we felt it was essential for their development that they get some competitive football experience and in a challenging environment playing against teams much older than them.

Our players were taking part in their first ever tournament having joined HFCA in November 2022 for our newly launched Junior Girls Program and it was a steep learning curve taking on bigger, fitter, faster and more experienced players.
