They were forced to close due to ongoing funding issues. Riverkids were HFCA's first partner when we opened our program in November 2005. We worked closely together for over ten years with them and we were honored to be associated with such an amazing organization. Riverkids founder and director Dale Edmonds did an unbelievable job setting up and running the project during this period.
Whilst Riverkids closing down is a massive loss to the local community they worked with the legacy of their amazing work will live on for many years. Hundreds if not thousands of people changed their lives for the better via the programs they ran. Three of the current HFCA coaching staff came to us first as players from Riverkids. We know first hand how much of a difference Riverkids made to them and their families.HFCA wishes Dale Edmonds and all the former Riverkids staff all the best in the future and sincerely thank them for their amazing efforts over the years.
