Known as the KMH Cup the 2020 league season features eight teams, six of whom are from the club academies of Cambodian Premier League teams such as Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, Boeung Ket Angkor FC, Visakha FC, National Defense Ministry FC, National Police FC and Phnom Penh Crown FC who have won the Men's Cambodian Premier League a record five times.
The season started on the 12th of February with the final due to take place on Saturday the 30th of May. Sadly, due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak the KMH Cup competition was suspended from the 14th of March onwards.
I'm really proud to be apart of HFCA's coaching team for the KMH Cup but extremely saddened at the suspension of the league. My Sunday training with the boys was the best day of my week but with the correct decision to suspend the league and subsequent suspension of all HFCA activites due to COVID-19 my Sundays now feel listless and from what I've heard from the players they feel the same
- HFCA Coach Greg Preston
We cant wait to be back and training whenever that may be. Myself and the team hope that all our supporters are staying healthy and washing their hands and whenever the league restarts we will be back and ready to go. For now though, stay well and see you on the football pitch soon

HFCA were drawn in Group A with three football giants. A huge challenge for our 24 players and coachings staff as we face Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, Boeung Ket Angkor FC and Visakha FC playing a total of six matches with the top two going through to the semi finals. The KMH Cup is part of the leagues run by the KMH Foundation which was founded in 2012.
With support from the ISI Group, the KMH Foundation organizes Cambodia’s biggest semi-professional football leagues: KMH Cup, KMH Champions League, KMH Academy and KMH Super Cup. The KMH football tournaments run annually, improving access to and encouraging football in Cambodia. These national tournaments bring together businesses, clubs, partners, media and players from all over the country and each year there are more than 50 teams and clubs with more than 1000 players that participate.
HFCA would like to place on record our sincere thanks and gratitude to the KMH Foundation for their excellent risk management plan which was implemented to ensure the safety of players, coaches and spectators when the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the world. The KMH Cup and all related football activities were suspended indefinitely and the right decision was made at the right time. HFCA wishes all our friends at KMH Foundation the best in the coming weeks and months.
