News Impact of Homeless World Cup (Part two)

In part 2 of our series about the impact of the Homeless World Cup we asked our partner Riverkids Project.

RKP have had players registered with HFCA go to the Homeless World Cups in Melbourne (2008), Milan (2009) and Rio (2010) and we asked them how being part of the Homeless World Cup impacted on their students.

The Homeless World Cup is a great event for vulnerable teenagers because it helps with their recovery. It gives them hope - something to aim for. It also provides a link to education, which is vital to stopping the circle of poverty. It helps them to strive for a better future - for themselves, their families and their friends.”
