News KMH Football Foundation cancel all 2021 competitions

On 29th of January our good friends at the KMH Football Foundation announced they would be cancelling all their 2021 football competitions.

Based on the epidemic of COVID-19 in some parts of the world continues, we are also experiencing it, so the Commission has decided to suspend all KMH football matches for the 2021 season. The commission will reschedule the tournament next year.

- Sovann Siek, Senior Program Manager, KMH Football Foundation

The KMH Football Foundation, through their leagues for men such as the KMH Champions League and U18 Boys KMH Cup provided a platform for our youth, men and boys, to test their skills in top class leagues against semi professional football teams. Our men's team took part in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons and our U18 boys entered the KHM Cup for the first time last year.

HFCA were very disappointed when we heard this news. We understand the KMH Football Foundation was placed in a very difficult situation due to COVID-19. Our Men's and U18 Boys teams were very sad when HFCA informed them and now a total of 48 youth will miss out on these great KMH competitions. We very much look forward to when life in Cambodia and the rest of the world returns to normal so our players can get back on the pitch.
