Cambodia Childrens Fund and Auckland Cambodian Youth and Recreation Trust joining HFCA, along with existing partners Riverkids, CCH and the Happy School we are confident that working as a team we can continue to offer our players the opportunity to play the game in a safe and caring environment. Thanks to all our partners for the amazing work they do working with some of the poorest people in Cambodia. This year 6 of our players travelled to Milan, Italy to represent their country on a world stage at the 2009 Homeless World Cup. Viet, Sophal, Rithy, Monira, Pheakdey and Theary had an amazing time in Milan and quickly won the the hearts of the fans and other teams with their passion for the game and humble attitude off the pitch. In other exciting developments six of our players were selected for the Cambodia National Team U14's development squad. Successes like these cannot be achieved without the hard work of our coaching staff, Vibol, Jimmy, Theary, Sokha, Dara and Alan.
2010 also promises to be another exciting year for HFCA with the Homeless World Cup in Rio, Brazil in September and Inter Milan Campus coming back to coach our players in November. Finally I want to thank all our supporters around the world. Without your support HFCA would not be able to give some of the most disadvantaged young men and women on the planet the opportunity to play the beautiful game and dream of one day getting on a plane for the first time, to wear the Cambodian jersey with pride on a world stage at the Homeless World Cup.
Thank you
