We are delighted to announce that HFCA coach Sam Yi has been signed by Western University for the upcoming Cambodian Premier League season which starts in January 2015.

Sam Yi plays in defence and has signed a contract that will increase his wage from $30 per month at his previous club National Defence Ministry to $120 per month. At 22 years of age he is ready to make the leap to regular first team football and is very excited at joining one of the biggest teams in the Cambodian Premier League.

Sam Yi joined HFCA's program in 2006 as a 14 year old, attended the 2008 Homeless World Cup in Melbourne and has made a career out of the beautiful game. He has been coaching at HFCA since 2010 and is now Jimmy's assistant coach. He is the oldest of four and supports his family with his earnings from football. He recently became engaged and hopes to get married once he has saved enough money for the dowry for his girlfriends family.
