News Scotland and Cambodia forge closer bonds

Cambodian and Scotland teams became friends at the 2008 Homeless World Cup and the friendship has grown stronger every year.

This year Homeless World Cup legend and Scotland Director David Duke took that friendship to a new level by personally funding a return flight for one of our players.

Scottish coach Neil Watton said "It's a partnership that started at the Melbourne Homeless World Cup in 2008. We always love spending time with the Cambodian players every year. The Scottish lads are humbled by your players personal stories and inspired by their passion for their country. We hope this relationship continues for many years".

To show our appreciation HFCA bought all the Scotland team a Cambodian jersey which our two nations national flags. The Scottish players were delighted and it was great to see all the Scottish and Khmer lads hugging each other after the jersey presentation.
