News Team Cambodia aiming for 6th Homeless World Cup in a row

The 2013 Homeless World Cup will take place in Poznan, Poland in August and HFCA are delighted to annouce that Team Cambodia were successful in their application to take part and will be one of 48 countries competing in the Men's competition.

I never dreamt that I would be representing my country to compete. Riverkids and HFCA have given me the opportunity to excel in football and I am truly grateful. Today, I coach other kids in the slums and let them know that their dreams are within their reach!

The Homeless World Cup is a great event for vulnerable teenagers because it helps with their recovery. It gives them hope - something to aim for. It also provides a link to education, which is vital to stopping the circle of poverty, It helps them to strive for a better future - for themselves, their families and their friends.
