News THANK YOU!

The Cambodian Team are on the way to the 2010 Homeless World Cup in Rio, Brazil.

The 64 national teams taking part in the 8th Homeless World Cup (19th to 27th of Sept) will be putting on a feast of football at the legendary Copacabana Beach. Team Cambodia is excited about playing our first game first game on Sunday in the 2010 HWC and we could not have done it without your support . We had to jump through many hoops to get the lads to Rio but it was all worth it in the end. Mountains of paperwork, the battle against the bureaucrats never ends! If you want daily updates from Rio with Cambodian match reports, players and staff interviews and pictures go to our 2010 HWC page or join our facebook page by clicking here. Thanks to our sponsors the Homeless World Cup, KMPG, (Printers of  Jerseys), Paddy Rice Irish Sports Bar. Special thanks to Scott Neeson for his vital contribution and Mech Sokha (AKA Superman) for getting us the Brazilian visas and all our staff/volunteers especially Jimmy Campbell, Vibol Chao, Chandara Seng, Hieng Lim, Jon Hammond, Nic Bakker, Shane Kingston and John Grogan and all the staff at the Homeless World Cup especially Bernhard, Deb and Mel and finally you for your support of our work with disadvantaged youth in Cambodia.
