We want these young boys to learn more about Cambodia's cultural and history so we ensured they visited the Royal Palace and National Museum to see all the wonderful history of Cambodia. Mindful of Cambodia's recent past HFCA also took them to the S21 Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum where so many innocent Khmers lost their lives during the Khmer Rouge era.
Six teams representing six villages in Siem Reap province took part in the inaugural Siem Reap Village Cup and the winning team won an all expenses paid trip to Phnom Penh. They attended our training program in Phnon Penh, watched our senior mens team play in the 2020 KMH Champions League.
Four of the eight had never been to Cambodia's capital city before so they were very excited leaving Siem Reap and after six hours on a bus, arrived in Phnom Penh.
The players were part of the winning team for the first Siem Reap Village Cup which HFCA held in May 2019.
