HFCA have coordinated Cambodian teams, since 2008, to join Homeless World Cup's in South America, North America, Europe and Australia. For our 12th participation we joined the 1st edition hosted in Asia. Thanks to our NGO partners Cambodian Children's Fund and Build your Future Today for their vital contribution to this successful trip to Korea.

''Coming to Korea and going overseas for the first time in my life, it was very interesting to see the culture in Korea compared to Cambodia and it opened my eyes to the outside world. The players from the other countries were so friendly and they cheered us on during our matches which I really liked"

Phanna Phorn, Cambodian team player

''I love the respect, the energy, the friendship that the Cambodian team brought to the pitch. Our match against Cambodia was competitive but at the same time friendly. Cambodian team share the Australian values of fair play, respect and inclusion" George Halkias, Australian Team Manager

Cambodian team love their South Korea Homeless World Cup adventure

HFCA completed our 12th Homeless World Cup mission in Seoul with the Khmer team winning new friends from across the globe!

Cambodia played 11 matches over eight days including playing teams like Brazil, Australia, Scotland, Argentina and Germany. Whilst the first few days were a culture shock for our boys as Seoul is a truly huge city with a population of 26 million, they soon settled in as Korean people are excellent hosts.
