Our press conference received extensive media coverage with four TV stations such as BTVCNC Sports,  CTV8, and MyTV covering it. Prominent English media outlets such as Khmer TimesPhnom Penh Post and Kiripost also published. As did Khmer language media outlets like Post KhmerSabay News and Kiripost Khmer.

HFCA have co ordinated the Cambodian team for the following tournaments:2008 in Australia, 2009 in Italy, 2010 in Brazil, 2011 in France, 2012 in Mexico, 2013 in Poland, 2014 in Chile, 2015 in Holland, 2016 in Scotland, 2017 in Norway, 2019 in Wales.

Five of the eight players are from HFCA’s NGO Phnom Penh based partner Cambodian Children’s Fund with the other three from HFCA’s NGO Siem Reap province based partner Build your Future Today.

The highlight of the relationship is the Homeless World Cup, where young players are able to travel to the host country and play against their counterparts from different parts of the world. Joining 48 other nations, this will be the 12th time HFCA has coordinated the Cambodian team for this life changing football tournament.  Each nation is allowed to select 8 players and the Cambodian team will play a total of 13 matches over 8 days in a fast paced 4 a side format with games running for 14 minutes each.

Cambodian team ready to shine at 2024 Korean Homeless World Cup

HFCA are honoured to announce that we will be sending a team to represent Cambodia at the 19th Homeless World Cup to be hosted in Seoul, Korea from the 21st to 28th of September 2024.
