HFCA would also like to congratulate LLA's Dominic Sharpe. In February this year The King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni awarded Dominic the Royal Order of Monisaraphon/Knight Grand Officer (GOM). As Country Director of LLA from 2012 to 2024, Dominic was honored for his contribution to the development of the Cambodian education sector through his efforts, skills, talents and leadership with LLA in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
''Whilst sad that our amazing seven year journey with Liger Leadership Academy has come to an end, HFCA is very grateful for all the incredible experiences we shared. LLA is an outstanding organisation and HFCA wishes them all the best in their new partnership with AUPP"Paraic Grogan, Founder HFCA
"The team from LLA would like to thank HFCA for an incredible partnership over the years. Both organizations shared core values and a dedication to nurturing young Cambodians into compassionate leaders. The partnership gave Liger students an opportunity to learn how HFCA uses football to support the wellbeing, mental health, and self-esteem in young Cambodians, whilst also opening opportunities in education and employment. Through the various explorations and collaborative partnership, Liger students were able to develop their leadership skills"Janet Tartaglia, Academy Director, AUPP Liger Leadership Academy
The transition to a fully independent school and the continued expansion of LLA’s model and curriculum were made possible through investments from AUPP. The decision by AUPP to invest in LLA was driven by its rigorous educational foundation, and its unique focus on project-based and skills-based learning.
Having first started working together in 2017, our MOU with LLA (Liger Leadership Academy) ended in December 2024 and sadly due to changes in the LLA operational model we were no longer able to continue but also very grateful for the 7 year journey we shared together.
LLA, renowned for its groundbreaking educational approach, has marked an important evolution as it transitions from an NGO to an independent, sustainable secondary school. AUPP (American University of Phnom Penh) has played an instrumental role in LLA’s evolution and ensuring its sustainability.
