"The eight girls from the villages of Oroong and Sras Srong, travelled outside of Cambodia for the first time in their lives and had an experience of a lifetime in Thailand. It gave the girls a view of the world outside of their villages and added to their confidence and belief in being able to accomplish anything they work hard for" Sedtha Long, Founder BFT

HFCA's Siem Reap province NGO partner BFT (Build your Future Today) were delighted with the outcomes. As was our partner Wing Bank who sponsor our regular training activities in Oroong & Sras Srong villages.

Star player Chanthy Pick from our NGO partner Cambodian Children's Fund felt very inspired after her time in Thailand.“I want to be a professional footballer or a doctor when I’m older,” says Pich, who lives with her grandmother and mother “A girl is part of the world and she can do anything she wants. She can play football, she can learn about science and technology, she can be strong and she can be kind. She can be everything,” she adds.

Playing matches against top teams from Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand was a great learning experience. As the 1st ever team from Cambodia to join this renowned Girls tournament HFCA made a very positive impression on and off the pitch and won the prestigious Sportsmanship trophy.

HFCA Girls team love Thailand football tournament

Our first appearance in the Bangkok Soccer League 7's was a great success!

HFCA faced some of the best football clubs in South East Asia at Under 16 level. Playing a total of 7 matches HFCA won two matches and only conceded six goals over 140 minutes of football.
