Sarita volunteered three days of her valuable time to complete this important mission and wants to inspire others to do more. “I really hope that in the future there are more people like us who visit these places to meet the people who need our help. I also really hope that they will join hands together to give opportunities to all girls out there because they are so intelligent and so much smarter than they can think they are.”
HFCA and Sarita are just starting our journey together to increase opportunities for underprivileged girls and she is positive about more joint collaboration “It's the least that I can do to give back to the community. If there is anything related to women empowerment, to encourage young girls to engage in sports and access education, I will do my best to help promote it so that they can have the right to those access, just like us all.”
Sarita added, “The first thing that inspired me is thinking about women empowerment and raising awareness among young people. After talking to the girls, I realised that there could be more, so much more, that we can put out there. They have so much potential, they are so smart and very intelligent girls.”
Sarita helped promote the initiative in late April at a well attended press conference & having made the journey to Oroong soon after, was impressed with the HFCA girls “ They support each other. Strategies are being made. During the practice session, I could see that they are doing so well with teamwork. The most important thing is that I noticed they enjoy it.”
“I'm very surprised that parents in the village allow the girls to participate in football, and I just hope that in the future there's more of these kinds of programmes being made.” said HFCA supporter Sarita Reth after staying overnight in Oroong Village and joining HFCA football training the next morning.
