Lexie continued "At sunset, we rode bikes around the area near the school and saw firsthand how the students and their families live. This trip was incredibly meaningful for me and my whole family. It gave us memories and lessons that I will carry with me for a long time."

"During my time in Cambodia volunteering with HFCA, it was one of the most eye opening experiences of my life.'' said 15 year old Lexie Pearson ''Staying at the school and playing soccer with the kids, I saw how much happiness they found in the simplest things. It really made me appreciate what I have and how different life can be in other parts of the world."

"Staying at a small school in Cambodia was a really different experience for me. We played soccer with the students and it was fun being out on the field together." said 13 year old Nylah Pearson. "We slept in the school library, which felt a bit strange at first, but it also made the whole trip more memorable."

"It was a wonderful opportunity for my daughters and me to train alongside the students and players, sharing simple moments that brought us together despite our different backgrounds." Emily Pearson, HFCA Board member

Melbourne family embrace visit to HFCA village program in Siem Reap province

HFCA Australian Board members Adam Pearson & Emily Pearson recently stayed overnight in Oroong village with their two daughters Lexie & Nylah joining them.

The Pearson family travelled to Cambodia in November last year to join in the HFCA20 Two Decades of Impact celebrations."As a father of children of a very similar age to those living in Oroong Village, the experience was deeply personal. It was confronting to witness the differences in daily life, yet equally inspiring to see what sustained commitment and genuine partnership can achieve.'' Adam Pearson, HFCA Board Member
